Dilton Marsh Halt
The station was the subject of a well-loved poem "Dilton Marsh Halt" by the late British poet John Betjeman. This station is a request stop. Boarding passengers must signal to the driver from the platform and enter the train at the front. Alighting passengers need to go to the front of the train and contact the conductor. There are two platforms adjacent but not opposite one another. Many trains travel only to Westbury or Warminster where the passenger must change for a longer journey.
