This station is not one of Stations in the West Wiltshire Users group but trains that pass through the Melksham call at this station. This is often used to change trains to go to London or Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads. If there were more trans up through Melksham and therefore Chippenham station could be used as a transfer station for services to London Paddington.
